Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LoadBolt ("Service"), operated by LoadBolt ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LoadBolt is a cloud-based load testing platform that allows users to create, configure, and run performance tests against web applications and APIs. The Service includes a web dashboard, API endpoints, and distributed test execution infrastructure.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Each account is associated with an organization. You may own up to 3 organizations. You may invite other users to your organization, and you are responsible for their use of the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you must:

  • Only test domains you own or are authorized to test. All target domains must be verified through our domain verification process before tests can be executed.
  • Not use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks, stress test third-party infrastructure without authorization, or engage in any activity that disrupts or damages systems you do not own.
  • Not attempt to bypass domain verification, rate limits, or other security controls.
  • Not use the Service to test targets that contain or process illegal content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have proper authorization to load test any target infrastructure. Load testing can impact the performance and availability of target systems. We are not liable for any disruption caused to your or third-party systems by your tests.

5. Service Plans and Limits

The Service is offered under tiered plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Scale), each with specific limits on:

  • Monthly VU-minutes
  • Maximum virtual users per test
  • Maximum test duration
  • Daily run limits
  • Concurrent test runs
  • Result retention

We reserve the right to enforce these limits and to throttle or suspend tests that exceed plan allowances.

Spending caps: Paid plans include a default spending cap to protect against unexpected overage charges. You may adjust your spending cap from your billing settings.

Response bodies: To protect platform infrastructure, HTTP response bodies are not captured during test execution. Test scripts should not rely on inspecting response body content.

6. Billing and Payment

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain your current plan features until then.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time. Cancelling a queued or pending test run incurs a minimum charge of 1 VU-minute.
  • Overage charges apply when usage exceeds your plan's included VU-minutes, billed at $7 per 1,000 additional VU-minutes. Overages are subject to your spending cap.

7. Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, downgrades, or cancellations. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@loadbolt.dev within 30 days of the charge.

8. Data and Content

You retain ownership of all test scripts, configurations, and data you upload to the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and execute your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Test results and run metrics are retained indefinitely while your account is active.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoadBolt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms, including the Acceptable Use policy
  • Attempt to target unverified domains
  • Use the Service for abusive or illegal purposes
  • Fail to pay outstanding charges

You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
